Floating Offshore Wind Farm (FLOW) Accelerator tool

The Eᶜ simulator software tool is being developed, as part of the Cornwall FLOW Accelerator project, for use to assess economic values and environmental impacts of floating offshore wind farms.

The tool is designed to help stakeholders such as wind farm developers and policy makers in decision-making processes in floating offshore wind farm developments.

The assessment is based in life cycle analysis and aims to optimise maximum energy yield from any proposed development locations, while minimising carbon intensity and associated net environmental impact and cost of electricity generation.

Once fully developed and implemented, this tool will allow the optimisation of wind farm design and the planning of multiple windfarms at regional spatial levels.
