Doughnut Economics: A toolkit for action
  • This event has passed.

This workshop offers an exciting new way to assess the day-to-day operation of your business against the three founding pillars of sustainability, social impact and purpose.

We will be introducing the principles of Kate Raworth’s Doughnut Economics model, which seeks to bring all people into a safe and just space whilst preventing the overuse of earth’s natural resources and carbon sinks. Doughnut Economics envisages businesses which regenerate the environment and their community and share the value they create to bring wider benefits beyond those of their immediate employees.

The workshop is relevant to any business who is seeking to increase their sustainability credentials and social impact and will equip you to put in place a holistic action plan to achieve your goals.

It will include a number of practical sessions which aim to:

• Assess how your business currently performs against the Doughnut Economics principles.

• Identify where you would like to be.

• Explore the various challenges and any factors currently blocking your progress.

• Consider how redesigning your business could transform your impact.

At the end of the workshop, you will go away with a strong understanding of the way the Doughnut Economics model can be used as a practical tool to inspire and enable change in your business.

Please come along with an open mind and a readiness to take part in the activities. Lunch and refreshments will be provided – please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.
