The Green Futures Network’s Climate Adaptation Community of Practice is open to all organisations across the UK that are working to develop their understanding of and engagement with adaptation.
Our last meeting focused on adaptation funding, and the need to build compelling narratives to secure support for adaptation measures. Following the summer’s unprecedented heatwaves, and the climate forecasts for the years ahead, our third meeting will focus on heat, specifically:
- What is happening, and what is likely to happen?
- How can we best talk about the risks of rising temperatures?
- What adaptation measures should we be looking at to reduce the future impacts?
Join us to hear from a renowned expert in climate impacts, Professor Richard Betts, who is Chair in Climate Impacts at the University of Exeter and Head of Climate Impacts at the Met Office.
