Adaptation Community of Practice
The Adaptation Community of Practice is open to all organisations across the UK that are working to develop their understanding of and engagement with adaptation. We hear from expert speakers, test and feedback on new ideas and resources, and collectively discuss how to implement the latest information into how we work individually and together.
The CoP acts a learning network and an action network, providing a space for peer-support, the exchange of information, and increased co-ordination around a consistent approach to understanding, communicating and implementing climate adaptation measures.
In July, Heather Jermy, General Manager at the National Trust’s Blickling Estate, will share her multidisciplinary approach to water management through heritage and conservation work in response to regular flooding. Focusing on long term ambition, and a series of interconnected projects across nature, people, and buildings, Heather will walk us through her case study in detail, including their partnership with Bayt al-Razzaz, an historic palace in Cairo facing similar adaptation challenges.
Sessions last for 90 minutes, with an extra 30 minutes held for open discussion for anyone who wants to stay.
