Adaptation Community of Practice
The Adaptation Community of Practice is open to all organisations across the UK that are working to develop their understanding of and engagement with adaptation. We hear from expert speakers, test and feedback on new ideas and resources, and collectively discuss how to implement the latest information into how we work individually and together.
The CoP acts a learning network and an action network, providing a space for peer-support, the exchange of information, and increased co-ordination around a consistent approach to understanding, communicating and implementing climate adaptation measures.
November’s guest speaker will be Miranda Walter from Cornwall Council’s Climate Resilience & Adaptation Team. Cornwall Council have been developing the Cornwall Climate Adaptation Strategy and recently ran a series of stakeholder workshops to develop the Adaptation Action Plan for Cornwall. Miranda will share the work they have done so far, invite feedback on the action plan and open discussion on how strategies like this can be most useful and informative for a wide range of people.
Sessions last for 90 minutes, with an extra 30 minutes held for open discussion for anyone who wants to stay.
