Adaptation CoP & PTP CoP joint session: Opportunities for Positive Tipping Points in NHS digital systems resilience

For this session we will be joined by regenerative designer Tim Frenneaux, to share his research into how positive tipping can be triggered to make NHS digital systems more resilient to climate change and quicker to respond to, and recover from, climate incidents.

The research includes proposals for how methods such as Three Horizons Framework and Alternative Capitals that fit together with the PTP methodology, can be combined to create conditions within organisations to be more resilient:

• Longer term thinking
• Seeing big pictures, the entire system and out role within it, and finding fresh perspectives
• Understanding how systems change abruptly, and how extremes matter most, not averages
• Finding approaches that enable tipping points
